After a recent update to the Axie Infinity marketplace, the way you make offers on Axies has completely changed. What used to be a more laborious process to obtain an Axie is now simpler and more dynamic, with offers on the Axie collection and traits, allowing you to choose specific characteristics and make general offers. This will likely bring significant benefits to the ecosystem, particularly an increase in Axie liquidity and a greater incentive to breed. How were offers made at Axies?

Going to the Axie Infinity marketplace, the way offers were made on Axies—and by the way, it's still an option—was that the player would go to the Axies tab in the marketplace and choose the traits the Axie should have from the filters. Instead of first searching and then making offers on each Axie, they could also choose the type of collection. If you're more specific, you could choose the Axie's color, number of breeds, evolved parts, and more.

Afterwards, when the player finishes selecting the Axie's traits, the marketplace takes the player to a page listing the Axies that have those selected traits. Now, the player looking to save money by making an offer should go to each of the selected Axies that has what they're looking for and make a specific offer, even if it could be one of several.

This can be quite laborious, and sometimes an Axie might not be in demand. You can see that on the right, you'll see the offers made on the Axie, on the left, the Axie's traits, and above that, its current price. Checking all of this for each Axie wouldn't be an easy task, which is why collection and trait offers were created!

In the Axie Infinity Marketplace, going to the Offers tab, you can now place offers based on your Axie's traits and collection. This saves time by no longer searching for the Axie you want to evolve, use in your Classic/Origin team, or accumulate more slips. Simply leave the offer on characteristics like class, parts, and collection and wait for another player to decide to sell it. Axie for you for that price. It's a good option for the marketplace because it will sell more, good for the player who saves time, and good for the seller who can look for ways to get that Axie cheaper and sell it for a higher price.

Furthermore, the offer isn't limited to units; you can choose the number of Axies with the trait you're looking for. It's important to check your active offers from time to time and the market to see how much Axies with that trait have been selling for.

The biggest benefit is the liquidity this update will provide. Currently, in the offer tab in the upper right corner, you can see that there are just over 2.7 ETH in offers for Axies with specific traits. There's no need to search for them; the offer is there, but you have to check first to see if it's still valid.

The second point is the time and resource savings. Now, instead of searching multiple times for specific Axies, players only need to periodically check the prices being traded and update their offer once, without having to change the offers for multiple Axies. This saves time and, when buying via offer, saves the difference in the price at which the Axies are being sold.
