It all started with one graphic card. … to owing 3 rigs, each 6 graphic cards (3080)
I can tell you it’s addictive 😂 there have been times earnings were pretty low and really, high, like this year. The London fork made changes, but as expected ETH rose to such levels, it didn’t make a dent. I mine less ETH but ETH is worth more.
Gamers are so annoyed with us stealing their cards, They now produce graphic cards with a limiter. Meaning: you can’t mine ETH anymore but you still can mine other coins such as RVN.I bought the rig the way it was. A friend now has a whole business involved around right. i must say it’s a HUGE investment and yes mining made that possible. I use Minerstat software, and I pool through Ethermine. Setting it up in your computer is fairly easy, for rigs it still can be challenging, but once done it’s done. I can monitor the rigs, from anywhere, the temperature of the cards.
And ethermine, now don’t get all excited about the daily returns. That’s due ETH is so high now, a month ago it was 50% less. And we don’t know how long we can mine ETH. Again the rigs are expensive and nowadays it’s impossible to buy by graphic cards without a limiter. Miners even mined when there wasn’t any profit to be made. It’s more a principle, but ofcourse earning crupto is nice too 😂. Payments go directly to your wallet
And yes I do have a paid job too and can largely work from home (which gets a bit lonely sometimes 😂)
Questions I get a lot
1 doesnt it get hot?
A if it gets very warm outside, yes it can, and i will use an AC
2 doesn’t it use a lot of electricity
. It’s about 3900kw .. and as most miners (typical miner is like me, who owns 1-3) and their miners run on sun energy. I have a 6kw sun panels so it’s basically free. Our government lets us write off this expense. I still think it’s awesome it’s done by people worldwide.
3 when ETH2 comes around, you won’t have any income any longer?

Please please don’t use any of those cloud mining site. They are 99% a scam. Their returns isnt possible.
There are other ways to mine, without needing a fast computer. Like ETH2 you can share in a pool of masternodes, such as DASH, PVIX, PNY. This is one of many websites you can share in a pool.
Step 1 Buy the coins, and
Step 2 add them to the pool it’s as simple as that. Stackofstake is another one, the profits ar good, I am an absolute fan and stake masternodes too:).
If you are are more technical you can set up your own masternode, download the software od the coin’s page and follow their steps. You must have x coins to be able to start a masternode and your computer must be reliable and on 24/d and or can outsource the hosting such as:
