A green crypto effort called IMPT links investors who care about the environment with businesses that promote green causes. It has partnered with many retail companies, allowing investors to get IMPT tokens in exchange for making purchases at their businesses.
Pre-sale for IMPT began on October 3, 2022, and was planned to last until November 25, 2022, or until $10.8 million was raised. IMPT appears to be on course to sell out before its scheduled date, having raised more than half of the funds in just over 2 weeks. IMPT tokens can be purchased by investors and exchanged for carbon credits. Users gain more points by retiring carbon credits to lower their carbon footprint. Investors receive special NFTs after carbon credits are retired, which they can keep as investments or sell for a profit on the open market.
The project attempts to bring together people and organizations to work together to reduce carbon footprints. A social aspect of IMPT has been turned on, rating each user based on how they affect the environment. IMPT.io points are given to those who help the environment in a favorable way. When the sale is over, investors who purchased IMPT will need to be patient and wait for the Impact Project to announce some exchange listings.
