Just about everyone who has been into crypto for a little bit of time has probably asked if it's worth the effort to collect from faucets? Part of the answer depends on how loosely you define a faucet in my opinion, and how much time you put in.
FIRST "WHAT IS A FAUCET"?
In case you don't know, are new to crypto, or think I'm talking about that thing you get your glass of water from... A crypto faucet or just "faucet" is this magic place you can go to get tiny "drips" of free crypto.
I know you are thinking "Is it really free?" Well yes it's REALLY FREE but as with most things there is a catch, the amounts you get are pretty small... Like REALLY small. Depending on what crypto you are collecting it can be too many zeros after the decimal small (.00000002 BTC)
These things were not designed to hand out free money to people though, although some are more set-up to be that kinda, but instead came about to give people a little bit of free crypto to try out their networks, run test, etc.
WHERE CAN I FIND THESE MAGICAL THINGS?
Faucets can be found easily with a simple search on your favorite search engine. Some of my favorites are....
Global Hive- This one is a Zcash faucet and about as basic as they get, login once a day and do your redemption, you can do it with brave browser for a bonus and can also link a few social medias for bonuses. Every 5 logins in a row you get a bonus spin and there is also a referral commission. Check it out here https://globalhive.io/r/205417
Horizen Community Hub- Just like Global Hive but this one is for Horizen or ZEN. Wallet linking is a bit of a pain but does have walk-throughs. Find it here at https://getzen.cash/auth/register?ref=535124
PipeFlare- This one is a faucet for Zcash, Polygon, and their own token 1FLR. SHIB can also be collected if you a holder of their Pyro Dragon NFT'S. This one is a lot more than just a faucet though, games with leaderboard rewards, staking 1FLR, a NFT marketplace for bonus to your earnings, referral program and you can buy referrals, this place has a lot to offer for a faucet. Check it out here https://pipeflare.io/r/e8nw
CryptoTab Browser- this one is not really a faucet but a good example of what I mean by loosely defining one. Use on a computer versus phone this one is different, on your PC it "mines" Bitcoin while you surf the web, on phone it has a every 3 hours start your miner feature with the browser. Free version of this is like a faucet cause it's going to be pennies per 3 hours but with cloud boost feature you can pull in much bigger earnings just make sure you buy the 1 year version of the boost with all the discounts because that's the only time it is worth it. A little trick for that is scroll through the news clips in the app and click on one that talks about bonus discounts even if it says expired it will still work. CoinPayU- this one has a few different things to it like video ads, ptc ads, staking, and others. A nice selection of different cryptos to chose from, and collections on them every hour. Find it here https://www.coinpayu.com/?r=Weddy1
Now back to the question, are they worth it ❓
Simple answer is YES they can be. But really it's a bit more complicated than that. These things require a bit of time or routine so to speak of staying on top of them. The amounts are small yes but with a bit of dedication and building a referral network on them you can get them to add up. Focus on a few that share the same crypto's as this will really help make it add up! The temptation is to do as many as you can find but really this is not practical unless you have all day to sit around and collect them, and trying to do so can cause burnout, so FOCUS on a few.
Worth it is my opinion and by worth it I mean about $100 a year across a few different ones with a consistent effort maybe even more with increases in the value of the selected crypto, this could be reinvested into something else to gain even more so yes to me it is worth it. But really it's for you decide if that is worth your time
