What is Floor Price?

By Hamminy | cryptoinvesting | 8 Sep 2022

The floor price, or FP, is the lowest price that a token in an NFT collection is currently being sold for on a marketplace.

Floor price on an NFT collection resembles ask price in an order book, but because of the inherent inability of NFTs to be traded for each other 1:1 (in theory), they do not achieve the same function.

For example, the floor price of an NFT collection may or may not represent usable liquidity for a collection around that price point.
