Prevailing wisdom informs me of a discernible pattern after a bitcoin breakout — that money eventually splashes onto ETH, which splashes on big alts, which splashes on small alts, which then goes out of the market.
It's a pattern that makes sense. When people make big bitcoin gains, they naturally want to know more about the crypto space. The second asset people often find out about is ether. From there, they move into defi, which is what the big alts are all about right now. Smaller alts then get their attention, because with the money they've made by this point, they are ready to go full degen.
After that, some money flows back into bitcoin and then out of the market into lambos.
I don't see any reason why this alt season should be any different. We have already seen a mini-season with well covered alts rising anywhere from 20 to 50%. The stuff like SNX, Aave, Matic, UTK — as I predicted, the stuff with use cases — have all seen some good gains.
Some of my favorite crypto commenters have said this is just the beginning. If so, this would be my first alt season. I'm well placed (after some horrendous investments), so I should do well if things turn out as planned.
It's obviously smart to put your money in projects with hype that have yet to pump. Matic is a great one. I'm also trying to put my own bias aside and invest in things like Aave, which have pumped tremendously but still have a relatively small market cap. The best investment, however, is always the new project that is coming out of the gate like a raging bull with strong community support just before the hype. Unimex fits this bill perfectly.
I'm calling it. Matic and Unimex for a 10X in January.
I also spent a lot of time looking at shit projects from the past to see if I could find any patterns in their charts and behavior. I found some good stuff. Maybe I'll write a post on it soon.
