The important thing you need to know: This generation of crypto "leaders" are a bunch of hypocritical, profiteering, opportunistic pieces of lame shit. They uphold nothing about the true spirit of crypto as a way out for people who don't want to deal with the corruption of old guard government and finance.
Giving your ID to Elliotrades is the same as giving it to the government, and you'll face whatever sanctions the government decides to impose on crypto within its purview. This will definitely include anything that Elliotrades is running. This is the guy who was going to create an exchange and decided not to because he was afraid of forthcoming regulation. This kind of pussery only leaves financial opportunism in its wake, and anything Elliotrades does now means nothing to crypto. You might make a little money if the project goes well and the government lets you. But It won't do anything to free people's minds and move them towards a mindset of sovereign finance.
Say what you want about Roger Ver, but you have to respect this man for standing up to government to maintain his philosophy. Jail didn't even break him. That's a real crypto guy.
What about this is hard? Crypto is sovereign. You are under no obligation to present anything about anything you do in crypto to any government. Of course they can force you with guns, but if you're smart, you can hide. And if enough people say no, or take control of government, those guns have no power.
