**2021 Bitcoin Halving: The Losses Nobody Talks About**
I've been studying the 2021 halving cycle. Not the moon posts. The loss posts.
Found 5 stories: $347k, $50k, $12k, $8k, $3k losses. Different people, different amounts.
**The 1 Pattern I Found:**
Every single story had the same line: "I didn't have an exit plan."
They bought the halving hype at $60k+. No stop loss. No profit targets.
Just "halving means up only" mentality.
When BTC dumped 50% to $30k, they held. Then sold at the bottom.
**What I'm Doing Differently Now:**
After reading these, I made 3 non-negotiable rules for myself:
1. **Exit Before Entry:** I write my sell price BEFORE I buy. Screenshot it.
2. **5% Rule:** If I lose 5%, I'm out. No "it'll bounce back" hopium.
3. **20% Rule:** At +20% profit, I sell 25% of my position. Book gains.
Boring? Yes. But I'm still here for 2028 while many aren't.
**The Hard Truth:**
Halving doesn't guarantee profits. It guarantees volatility.
The $347k guy learned this the expensive way. I'm learning it the free way - by reading.
**Question For You:**
What's the #1 lesson you learned from someone else's loss?
Not your loss - a story you read that changed how you trade.
Share it below. We all learn faster from others' mistakes.
