I will show you how to send Native Bitcoin BTC from Robinhood into Defi Chain Astar and Earn 17% APR on BTC. You can do this similar steps for other chains Avalanche, Polygon, BNB, Arbitrum, Optimism, Flow, Aurora, Moonbeam, Kava, Klaytn, MilkoMeda, Nervos, Shiden, REI Chains using Celer bridge. You can find any single sided tokens to invest in any chain using Coindix. I will provide the link below for very detailed Coindix tutorials.

I have few hundred worth Bitcoin in my Robinhood crypto wallet that I am holding for the long term. I bought it at $22,500. Currently Bitcoin has dropped to $19000. I wanted to put it to use on a Defi Chain like Astar Chain and stake Bitcoin and make 17% APY. Since it is a single side staking, I am not going to experience any impermance loss.

Buying BTC from Robinhood without Fees
I used my Robinhood Crypto account to buy Bitcoin without any fees from Robinhood. However, Robinhood has a small buy spread when you buy Bitcoin. As of shooting this video, Bitcoin is at around $19040. The buy price on Robinhood is $19100. A spread of $50 for 1 entire bitcoin. Robinhood provides buying Bitcoin and many other cryptocurrencies sush as Solana (SOL), Polygon(MATIC), Shiba Inu (SHIB), Ethereum Classic(ETC), Uniswap(UNI), Chainlink(LINK), Compound(COMP), Ethereum (ETH), Cardano (ADA), Dogecoin (DOGE), Avalaunche (AVAX), Litecoin (LTC), Stellar (XLM), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and Bitcoin SV (BSV). Currently on Robinhood allows sending out Polygon on Matic chain at 0.001 MATIC gas fee. That is less than $0.0001 in gas fee. It is great way to send out MATIC tokens out of Robinhood on Polygon chain. Then you can use a bridge like Celer Bridge to convert to any other chain besides Polygon. Robinhood allows to send out $5000 worth of Cryptocurrencies from Robinhood per day to an external wallet. In my case it is to my prefered Web 2.0 wallet Metamask.

Bridge Native BTC into Fantom using RenBridge
I am sending 0.05218472 BTC from my Robinhood wallet withdrawal into RenBTC Bridge. I am paying following RenVM Fee 0.00010436 BTC ($1.98) and Bitcoin Miner Fee of 0.000096 BTC ($1.82) at Bitcoin price of $19015 per token. I paste the Bitcoin transfer address from bridge.renproject.io/mint. I paste this into Robinhood withdrawal address. Robinhood requires like 0.00001729038 BTC ($0.33) in Robinhood gas fees to send it out. I wish Robinhood support Bitcoin lightning network where gas fees are non existent. I am sure they will support Bitcoin Lightening network in the future to reduce gas fees just like they do for Matic transfer in Polygon chain. The total fees I am paying for this bridging is $4.50. I will be making this fee within a month with 17% APY on Astar chain with Acryptos Defi Project. This is not worth the trouble or fee for any amount less than $100. If you want to send funds to Fantom chain from Robinhood, I would by MATIC tokens from Robinhood and Send it across MATIC chain for $0.0001 gas fees and they bridge to any chain supported by Celer Bridge. I will include a detail Celer Bridge Tutorial for you. It takes few hours for Ren Bridge to see the funds. Especially Robinhood takes few hours to send the BTC tokens into Ren Bridge address. RenBridge expect funds to be there within 8 hours of the Temparary address they provided. After that time period has expired Renbridge will send the funds back to the originating address. Be careful when doing this with centralized exchangers. They will not have a way to tie that to your account and you might end up losing funds if they have no idea how to tie that to your account. General rule of thumb is to be quick to send as soon as Renbridge provide the temperary Bitcoin transfer address.

Curve & Spookyswap on Fantom Chain to Swap renBTC into USDC
After funds show up as renBTC on your Fantom chains Metamask wallet, Swap it using Curve's Fantom chain to USDC from renBTC. Go to https://ftm.curve.fi/. Click connect wallet button on the middle of the screen. Connect your Metamask wallet. Select from field on the left as renBTC. Select to field on the right as WBTC. Make sure you have at least FTM token in Fantom chain on your Metamask wallet. Click Swap and pay FTM gas fees. After the transcation is recorded in the Fantom blockchain, you will have WBTC on your Fantom wallet. Curve Fi as of shooting this video does not support swapping renBTC directly into USDC. So I swapped renBTC into WBTC. Then used Spookyswap to swap WBTC into USDC. Now Go to Spookyswap to Swap out WBTC into USDC to be used on Celer Bridge in the next step.

Use Celer Bridge to Bridge Fantom USDC into Astar Chain USDC
Go to https://cbridge.celer.network/250/592/USDC. Select from Chain as Fantom. Select the destination chain as Astar. Make sure you have at least 1 FTM token in Fantom chain on your Metamask wallet. I have a detail video of Celer Bridge. I will provide the link below if you need more details. First, approve sending USDC on Fantom wallet by clicking Transfer button. It takes few minutes 4 minutes to hour for the funds to show up on Astar chain. Depending on amount of funds Astar chain bridge is approved manually. Celer Bridge will airdrop 0.005 ASTR tokens to pay for gas on Astar chain. I will be paying 1.641364 ceUSDC fees to transfer funds from Fantom network into Astar network for approximately $1000 USDC.

Arthswap.org: Astar Chain Swap USDC into WBTC
Next, I will show you how to use app.arthswap.org on Astar Chain to Swap USDC into WBTC. Because we need WBTC not USDC on our Metamask wallet for Astar chain. After receiving USDC on Astar chain with Celer Bridge from previous step, Go to https://app.arthswap.org/#/swap. Swap your USDC into WBTC. I am expected to pay 0.1% fee. So, I am expect to pay $6 in fee for my approximatly $1000. Gas fees on Astar chain is like 0.0001 ASTR tokens, which is like $0.0001 because Astar token (ASTR) is like $0.03 as of shooting this video. It is great chain to do defi due to it's super low gas fee -- even in congested times. Do not buy more than 0.05 WBTC on Astar chain or you will experience large impermance loss.

Acrypto Deposit WBTC in Starley Vault for 17% APY
Next, I will show you how to use Acryptos.com platform to Deposit WBTC into Starley Vault for 17% APY. Remember Acryptos is a yield aggregator of many protocols. Starley is one of them. Go to https://app-v2.acryptos.com/#/ASTR/vaults/all. Select WBTC wallet. Select the Astar chain from Metamask. Deposit your WBTC max. Pay gas with Astar chain. Now you have deposited WBTC and earning 17% APR on it. I noticed 17% APR on Acryptos.com for Starlay deposit of WBTC is very stable. You always want to deposit on platform with stable APR. Some platforms where APR shoots up then die to under 5% for WBTC single sided staking. You do not want that. This is great way to have your BTC holding grow with time during a bear market in crypto. When Fear and Greed index is above 70 on a bull market, I will sell my Bitcoin for USDC or other fiat.

Risk and rewards Defi on Robinhood & Acryptos
Finally, here is the Risk and rewards for using Acryptos platform as well as using celer and ren bridge as well as robinhood to purchase crypto. There is smart contract exploits on acryptos.com Yield aggregator where you might lose all your funds. Astar chain's bridges can be exploited and WBTC might lose peg against Native Bitcoin just like it happened on Harmony bridge exploit that made WBTC on Harmony chain depegged. Also, in during this steps I showed you before, I have to pay $4.5 in bridging fee for Ren Bridge and Robinhood withdrawal gas fees. They I had to pay $1 in fees where swap fee is 0.1% total swap from renBTC into USDC on Fantom chain with Curve Pools at $1.0. Celer Bridging fee was $1.6. Then I paid $6.0 fees to Swap back into WBTC on Arthswap.org Dex on Astar chain. I paid total of $10.5 in fees. Less risky path would be to buy MATIC robinhood and follow the above steps. However, I am expected to earn BTC back in less than few weeks and have my WBTC holding grow over time assuming there is not smart contract exploit on Acryptos decentralized exchange.
