A crypto Twitter user has just announced someone he knows has lost all their bitcoins after entering data from a ledger app downloaded from MICROSOFT STORE.
The App asked for the seed phrase (backup phrase), which he entered several times (it was repeatedly rejected). NEVER, EVER TYPE YOUR SEED PHRASE INTO A COMPUTER KEYBOARD!!! NEVER!!!
He yells.
Mistakes are made every day and criminals work hard to get what they need. This world is hard to survive and when you hear someone say "never say never" believe it or then you will.
The crypto world is a new industry and it seems to be fragile, attacks are common in many ways, and you all have to bet and let the ODDS speak for themselves. It is better to fail than to regret, but when your assets are lost unbelievable to snake oil sail personnel, that's when you will believe criminals deserve the worst punishment on earth.
Yeah! That tweet was saluted with mixed comments, as usual, never mind, that is crypto Twitter.
Nonetheless, a whitehat guy is willing to help and demands only the seed phrase.

Crypto is awesome but always double-check, if not it will be awful and never be the first to try out a product which you do not know the source.
Self-custody is not as easy as it seems, which makes crypto harder for mass adoption, but crypto will make it sooner than later.
