I hope you are all well and having a great start to the week so far, welcome to CryptoGod-1's blog on all things crypto and blockchain. Today I wanted to do a quick post on something I came across by chance this morning on a Reddit post within the NFTmarketplace subreddit. I was horrified when I discovered what was being advertised and I can only imagine what everyone else will think when you see what is being openly sold on Opensea.
First thing is first, this is the wallet address of the person who is selling this particular NFT: 0x2a8247595c6df01ca0bbc49bf1009468709ff2a7
If anybody knows who this is I suggest you contact the local authorities. I doubt anybody will know or anything will come from this but this is the beauty and unfortunately the downside of Crypto Wallets.
The reason why I am saying this is because the owner of that wallet has minted and is selling a NFT entitled "Cutie Pies"
The profile is called "Kiddiestuff"
In case you have not figured it out yet, this user is openly selling a NFT of CHILD PORNOGROPHY on Opensea!
The above screenshot is of that account, and I have blurred out the images from the NFT in Red so nobody has to see what it actually shows, but basically its displaying a selection of CHILD PORNOGROPHY videos. The NFT says it has a link to 140 of these videos and whoever buys the NFT will get the link to download all these sick images and videos.
While I know the internet is rife with things like this, NFTs and Opensea should not be displaying abusive images, especially of minors. To be clear, I am not advertising this account, I am more than anything horrified that such a thing is even allowed to be sold on Opensea. It was minted 2 days ago and it is still there so clearly this is a big issue in Opensea's regulation of what gets sold on its marketplace. I am not blaming Opensea but still it should be doing more to stop this sort of thing.
Above is the original place I saw it on Reddit, which I also went ahead and reported it there also. Anybody here who makes use of the NFT groups on reddit or twitter or any other social media please keep an eye out for that user Kilgore360.
I've reported this user to Opensea and would appreciate anybody else who has the chance to do the same as it is not correct what is on sale! I also made it very clear to Opensea I was appalled that they do not have some sort of screening incorporated into their service to stop people being able to upload images of children in this way. Their automated response said it may take up to a week to respond which is awful but typical for customer service / support. If anybody has any clue who this user is please contact the local authorities. I know its a long shot but this is just not right.
Perhaps you have encountered an account like this before and accept this is the internet and things like this happen. So be it if you do and think my post is pointless, but if anything I would like to think if enough complaints happen to Opensea they will at least have to consider some sort of moderator for things of this nature. Lets hope nobody who would want this NFT has the 10 ETH to pay this sick person for it!!!
