Méliuz Acquires Bitcoin Worth $28.4M
A Brazilian FinTech firm, Méliuz, have added 274.52 Bitcoin to their portfolio. They purchased the Bitcoin at an average price of $103,604 and have become the first Bitcoin treasury company in Brazil. The overall outlay on the Bitcoin came in at $28.4 million. Chairman of Méliuz, Israel Salmen, made an announcement on X on Friday to highlight what he called a “historic day!”

He noted how the firm now holds 320.2 BTC at an average price of US$101,703.80. Their overall holdings is above $33 million and as part of a separate press release, the company said that it first made a Bitcoin purchase in March this year. Méliuz plans to “accumulate Bitcoin in an accretive way for shareholders.” The company also recently joined Bitcoin For Corporations as an executive member. Last Wednesday they stated:
“They’ve started integrating Bitcoin into their treasury, positioning themselves for long-term value in a rapidly evolving financial world.”
Israel Salmen also met with Strategy’s Michael Saylor early this month to celebrate Méliuz’s Bitcoin strategy journey. He posted pictures with Saylor and stated on X "Thank you for paving the way.” Strategy are the global leader in Bitcoin holdings, with over half a million Bitcoin under their control. Saylor and his firm have been inspiring several companies and tech firms in the Bitcoin accumulation race.
