While Artificial Intelligence is growing every year, integrating AI with NFTs is growing at a rapid pace. Not just the use of AI Art Software for creating NFTs, but NFTs which come with Intelligence incorporated within them.

What are iNFTs?

Intelligent Non-Fungible Tokens, known as iNFT's, are exactly as the name describes. By now I think everyone is aware of the regular NFT craze, and this is potentially the next step in the evolution of NFT's. Traditional NFTs launched as static images, expanding into video, audio, meme's, coded art, and so much more. Adding artificial intelligence to the mix creates and iNFT. These are an incredible stepping stone to the future of entertainment and information sharing, where the art can potentially be used to interact with its owners, or even create it own art collection or collaboration with a human / other iNFTs. They will have the possibility to interact with the world in a totally unique way, which could make for a very exciting and interesting future.

Basically, iNFTs will be Blockchain based characters which can learn, adapt, and interact with information. This can be done by through the help of its user, or through interaction with other iNFTs on the Blockchain. The iNFTs are embedded with something known as a Generative Pre-Trained Transformer 3(GPT-3), which is a deep learning tool used to produce human like text. In other words, it allows for machines to learn how to talk and interact like people. By placing this into iNFTs, it is integrated as part of the immutable smart contract and gives the asset an amazing ability to learn and interact from knowledge.

Basically, what all that technical info means, is that iNFTs combine AI-driven technology with characters and avatars via smart contracts. This results in fun, engaging technology which can be used for entertainment, education, and a new way of experiencing art. They will open up the world to an information economy which can be built off the collective insights of experts. 

What iNFTs are out there?

The very first iNFT was created and named 'Alice'. It was created by a London based artist known as Robert Alice, done in collaboration with intelligence research from Alethea. She was sold at an auction in Sotheby's for $500k. Below is an image of the iNFT.

The implementations for iNFTs and their potential are enormous, with the concept of self thinking NFTs revolutionising the gaming and entertainment industry. There is the potential for Bored Apes performing their own shows, which would be all created by the iNFT itself but would be owned by an individual or community. Another application could be the likes of one Axie training another Axie based off what insight and information the user has given their iNFT.

This will represent an amazing application of technology where people can basically interact with their characters and build a pool of information. In terms of the crypto space, iNFTs could be trained to learn trading techniques, smart contract application, and even the basic human levels of emotions, therefore being able to care about their owner similar to how a dog notices when its owner is sad.

Market for iNFTs?

Aletha AI (ALI) is building a decentralized protocol which will create an Intelligent Metaverse inhabited by interactive and intelligent NFTs. While iNFTs are available on marketplaces, they are still rare to come across. As Aletha are originators of the iNFT standards, they are on the cutting edge of embedding AI animation, interaction and generative AI into NFTs. • Body: The ERC-721 token that shows an image or avatar — the base NFT.
• Soul: A “personality pod,” with different intelligence levels, that makes an iNFT intelligent.
• Mind: As the soul (personality) of an iNFT matures in intelligence levels, the mind is capable of performing higher-order services offered on the network.

Alethea’s developers have chosen iNFTs as the medium for preserving human history and culture because of their fusion with AI, decentralized nature, blockchain provenance, and tokenized incentives. 

First Conversation Between iNFTs

Aletha and Avastars collaborated in October 2021 to stage a conversation between two intelligent NFTs. The conversation took place between Pandora and Avastar #101, Salvatar. Both of these iNFTs are pieces of generative vector art programmed with unique combinations of traits and genes and, like all of the NFTs in the Avastars universe, are stored on the Ethereum blockchain. This is the beginning and the applications which can be built and developed are endless. Humans have already been able to have conversations with iNFTs, and it is quite interesting to see the thing they respond with. When the two iNFTs communicated, it was amazing to see just how developed the AI technology is.

Conclusion

Intelligent Non-Fungible Tokens are an amazing and advanced form of Non-Fungible Token, which will certainly shape a new and interesting future for us all. While they are quite new in their development, the advancement is unstoppable with sales of iNFTs already taking place for enormous sums. The development has progressed a lot and Aletha AI (ALI) is setting the standard in the iNFT space. They have be able to demonstrate humans and iNFTs communicating, and the power of two iNFTs communicating on the Blockchain. In time, we will most likely all be interacting with iNFTs in a Metverse style space, and the future will certainly be one of endless possibilities.
