Predictions

Now for the most exciting part, as I go through the latest info regarding each team to make an attempt at predicting the results for this weekend. Remember this is just my fun analysis and should not be taken as advice or a guarantee.

Leicester - Arsenal

Another weekend opener with Arsenal and this one is lined up to the thrilling encounter. Both teams will look to implement their style, with Leicester having seen Daka find his form over the past few weeks, while Arsenal is starting to pick up form again. Both teams will see themselves as potential finishers anywhere from 4th down, so they will both need to be at their best to implement their intentions for the season. An early start will allow either side to show those above, especially Man Utd and Tottenham, that they will be serious challengers for Europe. A tough game to call, but I think the form of the Leicester midfield and attack will see them through, winning 3-1 at home.

Burnley - Brentford

If you were asked with no football knowledge which of these two teams had been long-term in the Premier League, and which was newly promoted, would you know? Unlikely. Burnley has been disappointing so far, with Cornet being their standout player. They have not won a match in the league in 12 games stretching back to last season. It will be a good test for the likes of Ivan Toney against this Burnley defence, and because of that I will be going with a 1-1 draw.

Liverpool - Brighton

After watching Liverpool destroy Utd and City dismantle Brighton last weekend, I would expect Liverpool to get the win at Anfield. If Brighton play like Utd did last weekend, trying to match Liverpool, I think a large result will be on the cards. Brighton is a decent footballing team and is rightly sitting in the top 5, but Liverpool has shown they can beat any team on their day, even when they stay in the lower gears. After succumbing to Man City the previous week, Brighton are facing another daunting task. Their record against top half teams is impressive, having lost only 3 of their last 9. Liverpool are on fire and Salah won’t want to end his scoring streak anytime soon. A final score of 3-1 for the reds.

Man City - Crystal Palace

Patrick Viera will be looking forward to coming up against Man City, having managed in the States for their New York club as part of the City group. The task of managing against a City side boasting one of the best attacks around, complemented by the incredible combination of Grealish and Cancelo. They are completely certain of their positions in a city team brimming with talent. Foden is a magician at number 9, and Pep will expect the 3 points. 2-0 for Man City in this one.

Newcastle - Chelsea

This game will see two of the richest clubs in world football meeting for the first time since Newcastle got taken over. Albeit the money has not been spent yet, this fixture promises to be an entertainer in the future. For this weekend, I think it is safe to say Chelsea should be favorites. Their ruthless defensive abilities are seeing Chelsea really push Liverpool and City at the top this year. Their injuries up front will be easer with Pulisic available after a lengthy spell on the sidelines. The money in Newcastle can’t be spent yet, so I will be a 1-2 victory for Chelsea.

Watford - Southampton

A team under Raneri who are showing guile against Everton and utter implosion against Liverpool. Given time I think this Watford team could click and show more performances like against Everton. Southampton are showing great performances and impressive displays, yet they still struggle to get the points on the table. They are a few players short of a European challenge, but are closer to relegation battle currently. A close game and could go either way, so I will back a 2-2 draw.

Tottenham - Man Utd

While of these two out-of-form teams should I go for? This game to me is a vital moment for both managers this season. With crucial European football encounters ahead this week, laying down a marker in this game will be imperative for both Nuno and Ole. Apparently, Ole has been given 3 matches to save his job, and they are difficult encounters. First Spurs, then midweek encounter away to Atalanta, then a home derby against the champions, Man City. I don't envy Ole this task and feel it may overcome him. Fans of other teams will be wanting Utd to get the points and keep Ole at the wheel.

Norwich - Leeds

Kalvin Phillips will be back for this Leeds side, and could propel them to a strong victory. Leeds have struggled this season, but they excel against teams at the bottom. Norwich are a real contender to become the worst team in Premier League history, with only 2 points and 2 goals so far this season. I think the attacking talent Leeds have on offer will give them a comfortable morale boosting victory. Bielsa’s team will record a 2-0 victory minimum.

Aston Villa - West Ham

After the heroics of last season many thought West Ham would struggle with the demands of European football. Instead, they are the 5 best team in the league over the course of this and last season combined. Moyes has created a team that is focused around Antonio but has scorers all over the park. The penalty shootout victory over City during the week, along with the fact Villa are known to collapse could lead to a big away victory. Villa do have strong players and winners in their team, and with over £200m spent since they returned to the league 3 years ago, the owners and fans will be expecting more. Perhaps a change of manager will be on the cards of performances don’t improve, with 10 points from 9 games not what the fans expected after the spending of the Grealish money. Injuries to Bailey have not helped matters, but the team has just not clicked. West Ham should collect a nice 0-2 away win here and hope to open a gap between themselves in 4th, and Brighton, Spurs and Utd immediately below them.

Wolves - Everton

After the shocking display at home to Watford, Everton will hope to bounce back on the road. Benitez will have spent the week getting his tactics across to his squad and we should expect Everton to tighten up at the back. With Wolves struggling at time to score, Hwang will be a focus on getting the home team on the board. His good form, coupled with the threat of Adama Traore versus a rigid defence will make this a tough encounter. Whoever scores first will be holding on, and I think Benitez will have the better chance after a week of organisation training. Unless his team falls apart again I think Everton will sneak a 0-1 victory.

Have a great day and enjoy the games over the weekend.

Peace. CryptoGod-1.
