Hello everyone,
I hope you all are having a nice day, welcome to CryptoGod-1's blog on all things gaming and literature. Today I will be looking at a project which I have come across known as MetaChess. As a fan of chess I find it quite interesting and thought I would share what I have discovered about this upcoming game on the Binance Smart Chain.
What is MetaChess?
MetaChess is a game of chess based within the Binance Smart Chain Ecosystem. Users will be able to earn crypto in the form of PAWN, the native utility token of MetaChess. With leading online chess games such as chess.com and chess24 having a large share of the market, they can monopolize the market and charge subscriptions for users to access all areas and benefits of their games. In MetaChess, they plan on rewarding players instead of charging them, all the game benefits will be available to everyone free of charge. Investing in the token PAWN will be a choice rather than a necessity, although all users will earn PAWN simply by playing and winning games in MetaChess.

Tokens & Governance
The main token is PAWN, which will allows users to earn, trade, and stake PAWN tokens. It will serve as the main currency of MetaChess and as a governance token in allowing users to vote on game developments and distributions. Built on the Binance Smart Chain, it will be a BEP-20 token.
There will be a max supply of 10 Billion and the benefits of PAWN will be as follows:
- Governance - A DAO structure which will allow holders to vote on the future developments of the game.
- Staking - Users can stake their PAWN tokens in the MetaChess app to earn up to 12% APR in PAWN rewards.
- Treasury - The treasury will support the ecosystem of the MetaChess game, and distribute the rewards to players. 10% of all distributions will be retained by the treasury.
Players will earn additional PAWN tokens for playing games in MetaChess. The scoring system, known as Checkmate, will work as follows:
- A win in MetaChess will equal 1 Checkmate.
- A loss in MetaChess will equal -0.5 Checkmate.
- A draw in MetaChess will not count towards a Checkmate score
At the end of every month a users Checkmate score will be calculated and determine their distribution of PAWN tokens. A users Checkmate score will equal the percentage of the tokens they earn from the distribution.
"For Example - A players earns 20 Checkmate wins, 10 draws, and 10 Checkmate losses. They will earn a 10 Checkmate score overall. If the overall monthly Checkmate score for all players is 100,000 then the users will earn 0.01% of the PAWN tokens distributed that month."
Users who end the month with a negative Checkmate score will not be eligible for PAWN token distribution for the following three months, meaning users need to ensure they gain wins to keep earning PAWN.
Each distribution will see the amount distributed by 10% on the previous months, so early adapters will benefit more than new players down the line.
Stakeholders & Revenue Stream
There will be a two tier stakeholder approach with MetaChess, seeing revenues generated distributed across both levels of the ecosystem:
- Staking Pool - designed to provide yield and value to token holders
- Treasury - designed to ensure revenue generated through the game accures value for the PAWN tokens. The PAWN distributed to players will be from the treasury fund
Revenue will be gained from two key factors, with 10% of all earnt PAWN in MetaChess being returned to the Treasury, while 50% of the NFT sales will also be transferred to the Treasury.

NFTs
There will be 7,800 NFTs available as part of MetaChess, based off of six main chess piece characters. The NFTs will be BEP-721 tokens, and known as Grandmaster NFTs which can be sold on the MetaChess Marketplace. The NFTs will be as follows:

Token Sales
Currently the sales are in 'Public Sale 1', which began on the 1st of February and will end on Sunday the 20th of February. A 20% bonus is given with all purchased tokens during this period of sales, with 'Public Sale 2' beginning on the 1st of March for 15 days and offering a 10% bonus.

Conclusion
If you enjoy chess this could be a very good game to grab some tokens early. Users will be rewarded more of the tokens for playing but if the game takes off it could be worthwhile buying in the public sale rounds. The game will have interesting mechanics to try stop cheating, along with NFTs to and renting systems for earning additional income. All in all it seems like an interesting project if it can deliver on its promises.
Have a great day.
Peace. CryptoGod-1.
