I hope you are all having a good day, welcome to CryptoGod-1's blog on all things life. Today is a sad day as I share the news of Charlie Kirk being shot and murdered as he gave a talk to students in Utah.
Charlie Kirk RIP
The United States 'right-wing' activist and commentator Charlie Kirk has sadly died following a shooting at Utah Valley University. The 31 year old was addressing a large outdoor crowd at the college campus when the shooting happened and he was immediately rushed to a hospital where he underwent surgery before he sadly passed away. Kirk, a father of two young children, was sat under a white gazebo addressing a crowd of around 3,000 people when the incident occurred.
While not everyone agreed with Kirk's views, he was the co-founder of Turning Point USA, the largest conservative youth organisation in America. He played a key role in driving young voter support for Mr Trump in November last year and many will be devastated and shocked at this news. President Trump confirmed the sad passing of Kirk in a video while former politicians and White House officials have all expressed condolences for Kirk's loved ones.
Sadly there will be many who will not be shocked or saddened by this news. Kirk was speaking on Transgender and gang shootings the moment he was shot with a long range weapon, and many videos online show Kirk clutching his neck before falling backwards. His wife and children were in attendance but thankfully they remain unharmed. Kirk had 5.2 million followers on X and hosted a podcast and radio programme, "The Charlie Kirk Show." He had also recently co-hosted "Fox & Friends" on Fox News. Kirk was known for questioning the mainstream media and their agendas. President Trump announced on social media that he had ordered all US flags flown at half-staff until Sunday in Mr Kirk's honour.
President Trump has laid siege on what he calls the 'radical left' as the search for the shooter continues. Trump stated:
"For years those on the radical left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis and the world’s worst mass murderers and criminals. This kind of rhetoric is directly responsible for the terrorism that we’re seeing in our country today and it must stop right now.
My administration will find each and every one of those who contributed to this atrocity, and to other political violence, including the organizations that fund it and support it, as well as those who go after our judges, law enforcement officials and everyone else who brings order to out country."
The event was the first of 15 planned appearances by Kirk as part of his “American Comeback Tour” at universities around the country. He often used such events to invite attendees to debate him live. It is believed the shooter was located on a rooftop across from where Kirk was addressing the crowd, as shown in the graphic below.
