Any ardent crypto holder is waiting for the Ethereum 2.0. Interest is on the rise as many holders are shifting capital within the network. This has seen interest on ETH spike. This has been associated with the current funds relocation inside the Ethereum framework.

It appears that not many investors are staking on the second largest coin by market capitalization. Instead, ETH holders are moving their funds internally.  This partly explains the trust they have on the 2.0.

Moving ETH within Ethereum Outfit

According to Bison Trails’ Elias Simons in a tweet, the number of ETH wallets holding over 30 ETH has been growing but the smart contract supply has not shown any shifts. He goes on to add that ETH withdrawals have been rising in Q3 and Q4. However, the number of active wallets has not increased.

According to Simons, this is a clear indication that holders are focusing on Ethereum 2.0 upgrade. The number of new investors has taken a back seat while current holders are positioning themselves to usher in the new Ethereum 2.0 version.

Ethereum 2.0 Launch Days Away

According to recent reports, the launch is slated for December 1. The Ethereum 2.0 Genesis launch appears to be long overdue and ETH holders are smarting up for the milestone. This appears to confirm a Developer at Ethereum Foundation, Danny Ryan’s word on his bog.

As the launch nears, already there are over 16,380 validators. The new version will move from the proof or work (POW) to proof of stake (POS). It is billed to be a huge step for the Ethereum community.

This will come barely a month after the first Ethereum 2.0 deposit contract was confirmed. However, there is a catch; to participate in the staking process, one need to send 32 ETH to the new contract. This might lock out a big number of entry level ETH holders.
