Attack on Litecoin owners!

By Roberto D. | CryptoFarm | 13 Aug 2019

Recently, Litecoin owners on Binance have suffered a hacking attack, but what is a dusting attack?

Unfortunately with the new digital currencies new types of attacks have also been born to steal information, or in the worst case, the coins themselves.

One of the latest hacker findings for is the so-called "Dusting attack".

Binance explained it as follows:
"A dusting attack is a relatively new kind of malicious activity, thanks to which hackers and scammers try to break the privacy of Bitcoin and crypto users by sending small amounts of coins on their personal wallets."

The purpose of these dusting attacks is therefore to send very small amounts of crypto (in the case of Bitcoin one speaks of 1 satoshi) to specific addresses, the hacker must do nothing but "follow" this very small sum sent until when stops in the wallet concerned and then goes back to the person who physically owns the wallet.

(I am attaching a video of Binance explaining how this type of attack works)
