Digital era is here and merchants are finding it harder to deal with cents. And now they want to establish roundoff in the market. And for that Common cents act is being passed. Some of the states in USA would pass bill to round off to nearest nickel as framework. 

This would make the online shopping or even settlement offline easier. So the variety of the changes that roundoff market has issues past few years is going to change. 

As you can see USA is slowly structuring itself for the world towards the digital era. And they are getting rid of the mints and the stuff and keeping it for the namesake. And this would be something that would be other nations would follow.
