People create content for free. And the platforms take the benefit out of it by displaying ads and make more money than the creators. And this has been going on for years. These ads are shown in the channel as a small sponsored bubble like message which would be easy to skip too. So they are not like very harsh on the user content. So if you consider the right approach for displaying the ads, it'd be reasonable to say that for channel owners this would be a good option to monetize their content and the channels too. 

Ad revenue sharing from the Telegram would be in the TON coin. So this way they are going to allow more users to be on their chain and the transfer of the assets would move through the chain. Which goes to show that it would be earning them something reasonable. You may require a bit of more subscribers and the people who are on your channel and also always clicking type of audience. So you have to experiment with your channel on this. 

It's a good news for the creators who are using the telegram to bring traffic on their youtube channel or even on channels where they are making the content and producing the output there.
