Ethereum being the dominant chain in the play to earn ecosystem, it's not easy to find the trading card games on other chains. Polygon is getting it's share of the play to earn games as the blockchain is pretty healthy these days with many new projects like Instagram building on it. Trading card games too slowly finding Polygon as a good economical alternative to Ethereum chain. 

While checking out on the deck building trading card game deployed on Polygon chain, I found this game Synergy of Serra. It's one of the game in the trading card genre which is not yet getting much attention.

How does the Synergy of Serra works?

Your game starts with you getting total of 100 cards. When you get matched with the enemy, you would have to both put the cards into the pool and then select the 10 out of them for the battle. And here you would  be building the deck while playing the game. So the gameplay kind of feels like Dominion game. Which is of same trading card deck building game concept.

You would be spending and earning - mana points and the gold coins. Both of these resources need to be properly played out for the match to work around as well. You also hold the three types of the card - power, attachment and unit types.

Each of the cards in the deck are going to be NFT cards. So you would be holding the value and building the value of that asset. So considering this is a blockchain item, your unique investment into the card would be holding the value in the NFT marketplace.

Polygon is the only good thing that I have noticed about the game because for features, NFTs and the gameplay the similar is offered by many other games. Also they lack a good in depth lore around the game otherwise it'd be hard to get some attention. As of now there is going to be running crates offer and we can see more goodies till Christmas I suppose.

If you have polygon in the wallet and wish to give this game a try then go for it. Though I am not much impressed with the game and their NFTs.
