I remember in past, I covered a news on Sunflower Land. At that time the game made the Polygon blockchain get into congestion. And it made the developers put a pause on the game. They are now going through a lot of revisions and learning how to use the blockchain differently than before. Now the game has gone into the beta mode.
Game has pretty much vibe like the Stardew Valley except you don't have much interesting places to explore or do things than the farming. Here you are supposed to be playing like a farmville. But the focus is on - Sunflowers.
It starts with you first selling the sunflowers from your stock and then buying the seeds. Then later grown sunflowers out of those seeds are meant to be sold in the market again. You also have options to grow other things like pumpkins. You then also chop trees, go out and clean up the stuff and also take care of the farm in any other possible way. It would totally remind you of the Stardew Valley.
The game definitely has the potential. However it lacks the quests or the exploratory nature like the SV. I suppose if they put in an effort and think outside the blockchain rewards and assets, they can do a lot of things. I have seen some of the gamers praising this new game due to the way it is developed and can make a difference on genre of farm games on blockchain.
Polygon being the chain for the token also makes the deployment and the fees lot easier to manage. The game has potential and the first time they did the issue managing the game. But overall I think it'd be reliable to depend on the proper process in that case. I wish they do something good out of this product and reach more users.
Farming games like these I often check out and share in my posts. I hope to find few other blockchains and see if they have similar type of the games. It's a good spending of time and the few coins into such games. I'd recommend keeping a tab on it's final public release.
