Space games are one of the interesting games to play. They can be strategy, they can be exploration type or they can simply be survival games. Either way they are going to be a treat to play in most of the cases. Blockchain based games are also increasing in this genre of games. Ethereum already has plenty of games in this niche. Now even Solana is getting it's fair share of such games.
One such game that I have recently found out is - Star Atlas. It is deployed on Solana and it has pretty interesting blockchain growth so far. It is one interesting game designed in Unreal Engine.
Previously there was no playable demo for the game but they recently launched one of the demo on the EPIC store for you to check out. You can check their official site for more information on the demo.
The game work like typical in-game investment model. You buy NFT of specific type, join the faction, explore for now. There are no new quests and the economy released yet. But they have those things in roadmap. It's too early to expect from such games in their first play demo. But I am sure with the time we are going to get some good games in near future.
The game is going to be a visual treat and as you can guess from the above trailer, they already are rocking with the Unreal Engine's capabilities. It's definitely a good visual treat to explore and enjoy. I think it's too early to comment on the gameplay as the playable demo offers very limited but we can expect this to turn into some massive MMO treat if it gets enough quests to justify the token and the NFT sales.
Twitter has pretty decent hype about this game as it's on Solana, so there would be less expensive metaverse spending compared to what is deployed on the Ethereum. If things work out for the company we would be seeing a good finished Space based game metaverse product in near future.
