Blockchain has yet to be a good reliable escrow model in context of the tokenized settlement. There are corporate escrows on chain but it often has govt level limitations. DVP is a similar program which is open source escrow made by the Solana. And this foundation is about to roll this out in many places.

So the DVP which stands for delivery versus payment. So the payment are to be released when both side agree and confirm. 

When it comes to tokenized settlement, blockchain being one way payment and also it is difficult to trace. We need escrow accounts for the payment holds and the DVP program makes those working easier to settle. 

This process however is going to do the atomic settlement lot easier and make things even more better for the settlement. This process is explained here.
