Solana once upon a time froze and the trust on the chain got lost. Over the years it took a lot o efforts to build that trust and keep the chain functional. Now some projects realized the flaw and are building the read layer for the API companies in a better way, so the past data is easier to read, easier to write and this way it would have better operations and less issues on chain. 

Triton one is currently working on this and they are making the Solana's read layer more functional and better over the time with the release and open source release soon be out. 

So what do they plan on fixing, first it's the nodes, then the variety of algorithms and plugins that would fix the read layer from the validator end. As the data gets read and also the amount of the efforts it takes to read the data. So it all counts on the ingest side. So this would cover all the use cases and the industry so this update would make sense for Solana.

Solana is growing and it's interesting to see it is attempting to fix variety of the backend side. And also they are planning on improving as we speadk. So lot of good things are happening in the due end. Let's see where things go from here.
