Privacy is not an optional feature. Most of the companies want to onboard their clients on the blockchain. And for that they make use of the variety of privacy protocols and also the audits keeping things on ledger yet privacy is maintained. And the point about not getting exposed on the chain is at works. 

Sunnyside labs has launched the Privacy SDK which would be integrated with the Privacy boost. And that would help build the Privacy over the OP chain. Which would mean that the variety of the transaction specific privacy updates would improve upon on the chain. Which both the consumers in the retail and the enterprise customers would be expecting.
