Moneygram was world's payment method which was not gatekeep by bank on small amounts. It was one of those places where people used to get the funds from overseas and live in some of the 3rd world easily. So people who left their country had reliable place to send the funds. 

Now that company is changing with the crypto ecosystem being formed. They launched their own stablecoin which would settle internally for their places. And that would be backed by Visa and makes it easy to spend internally in franchise. 

Now that the stablecoin is launched. People can redeem their funds whenever they want from the kiosks and the branches. This would also be legal backed currency and govt monitored making it easier to withdraw. 

This would protect people from carrying cash. And it would make it easier for the people to send and also accept on their wallet. Which can be as simple as some card, pen or anything which can do the transaction later for them if USB connectivity to PC works. 

World is changing, so does the moneygram. Now money would go to villages easily too.
