Crypto is not just tokens anymore. Now the assets are being built as tokens. Some of the tokens are treated like custody now. And that custody being seriously like serious real world use case. So the crypto custody being the new trend Solana has been adopting the same.

Take example of the Kraken custody program where most of the tokens are being included from multiple chains. Now the Solana's SPL tokens are being included too. 

Custody like this should work closely with govt. And also there has to be some sort of the insurance in case things go wrong. But apart from that it makes sense such type of the systems are coming up. But with Solana things would explode from this point onwards.
