Every nation in the world is trying to digitize their cash and turning it into blockchain so that it can be traded across the world and also get to compete with the crypto stablecoins. India has a stablecoin, China has it, Europe Union is launching one and soon many other nations would be getting their own stablecoin under CBDC title. In case of Israel, they have this CBDC named as "Digital Shekel". There is a lot of news coming out about it on the web. 

Process of digital shekel works something like this. Initially they would be asking for the consultation from the banks and the business. And then they would be looking at the process of how the blockchain would be implemented. This means handling the forex, deposits and variety of other investments that are coming along with the interest that are on the holding of the assets. 

Privacy is one more thing that would be concerned here. Most of the CBDCs would be tracked not by govt but the applications that collect the data while they allow you to do the transactions. Type of the onboarding and amount of time for the offline use, privacy and the modules that make the institutions make it easier to operate are one of the big concerns. We have to watch out how the CBDCs make use of the blockchain and the crypto to handle this. I would say that in near future things would not be that complicated if all the bases as per their model are cleared.
