UK is not some place where people gamble and get away with it. HM revenue and customs catches people eventually. Though UK has given many people the asylum and made them save their life while they have the threat for the life from other nations. Which is basically giving the fraud people the shelter. Most of the top known criminals are living in UK. 

Now slowly the crypto mafias are also coming out. There are total 240 people coming out with the 1 million pound worth of the capital gains. As you can see 240 people are less likely normal people with such a high gain. 

I am pretty sure a lot of them made some money evading the taxes. And then later accumulated the funds which turned out into the gains. And sure there are chances that there people who are into the crypto reporting framework. Considering maximum of such scams are being counted, and how the tax reporting now allows use of the crypto, it would be fun.
