Helius reduces Cost of Historical Data access for Solana!

As a developer I often make use of different blockchain data sources. For example I use Alchemy for accessing the the chain data. And that has been the norm. In cases of Ethereum we have infura. Which all of those cost some money. Because the compute hours are used to access the past data.

Helius is one such platform with the focus on the Solana blockchain. And they have decent tier for the data too. So you can learn the development and build the apps that you would want to around Solana.

They have now started offering the credits on much cheaper cost. So the calls with the functions would cost lot less than before. Like 1 credit would be consumed for making those large data functions.

I made one token viewer demo using the Helius few months back. I even posted about it on nostr here. So you can judge the quality of their data. And also the free offering that we get out of the helius would make you think more reliable of their service too.

Such services are good for building small apps. Making the prototypes and also building the right set of the output that would get you to do the prototypes. Something we solana builders get for free and with reduced credit value this would be a good change too.
