Entertainment Software Rating Board rates the game, NFTs, digital content, animation embeded within the software and the apps. An they offer this rating before any of the content gets embedded into the marketplace. This helps people avoid the games or content that has some adult element in it. And a lot of games get R rated and also adult variety of ratings due to the type of content they have. 

So what qualifies for the adult rating? Side breast, large breasts, less clothes and other objectionable view is often considered as the adult and they are going to be rating the game in that context. Some of those have made the game brands into this category which is harder for them to re rate once they are rated. So recently Gods Unchained has been removed from the EPIC Games Store on this basis.

But after few hours of going out of the store the game is back again in the store.

What does this mean for games and the publisher studios? This means if they are promoting the content for the game they have to watch out with the content, especially those jungle costumes of women or the side boobs and other adult content that appears in the trailers, ads and the tweets. Because those are being watched over and also being taken seriously by the ESRB board for the R rating. 

Game is now back again listed on the EPIC Store.

Though the game is surely out of the block of R rating. But we are going to be seeing the rating based on such games that have the mages and the archers with the female gender being shown in such revealing dresses and the looks. I know this is being too much controlling but people of other mindset can't be changed when they are in power. We are just gamers so we work with what we have and build content around the same. 

Can you expect the same for other games in near future? yes, most likely. And if there are some of the publisher studios who are exclusive for their own marketplace and the stores. I think they are much in control of such content and they can do better in terms of the filtering and also they can choose to make things adult or non adult as it serves them best.
