Leofinance is one of the interesting place to read about different opinions of people who post about cryptocurrency, personal finance and financial independence. I learned a lot of interesting things from the guys over there. I realized that being in my 30s, I am kind of late to the party of being rich and being financial independence. I joined crypto pretty late in my life and kind of made things easier for myself as I started selling it back for FIAT to change my offline worlds reality.
Now those who are into the crypto world for more than 5 years. I am sure your goal is for the retirement and the financial independence. You are not chasing those day trader like dreams. Instead you want a home (or maybe you already have it) and you are aiming for the financial safety net to escape from the rat race of jobs and the other obligation.
You Can't Control the Market, You Can Only Control Your Moves
Now this may come as shock to you. But you literally have no control over the market. Instead you are only able to control how much funds that you have in hands. You can choose how much funds to put into the investments of crypto, stocks etc. The reason you can't control the market is because there are always people who have money more than you and have interests bigger than you.
You can put in money into the coin that appreciates over a period of time. And then you can get the money out when you need it or when you are in the profitable zone. When your money is small, your impact on the coin is very much low and it would require a lot of collective effort to push or pull the coin. This goes to show that making this type of asset a complete ticket to your financial independence is not an easy task.
You Can't Escape the Grind with Cents
I am one of those dreamers who dreamed in their 20s and 30s that I would escape the grinds with the cents. I invested, I saved money and I stuck to the monthly paycheck cycle. But I was making cent wise progress. But if you want to travel the world, have some land outside the city and live last days of your life escaping the grind, you need a lot of money, support of people and plan.
When you are making the progress in cents then you are living the life as if you are living in 70s or 80s and reaching your 30s in 90s. But I was on the other hands making this progress in 2000s to 2018s. Which goes to show that my prime years were wasted in chasing grinds.
What is the takeaway? If you apply the same formula in the crypto investment, you too are not going to do much. You have to put in high amount to get high amount. Which is in short said as the high risk and high reward. This is one of the reason I don't invest into the coins which stay under 1 dollar price for years in the name of "X coin to the moon". No thanks.
Crypto is Part of the Wealth Equation for 95% People
If you are one of those people who have salary of around 100k USD per annum. You are among the 5 percent who can be one fish below the whales or maybe you are the whale. Not everyone can become rich with crypto unless they have high stakes into the game. You can at the most make the crypto as one of the asset which can help your financial independence.
Your wealth and your growth would depends on how you choose to make use of the crypto for your growth. And that means more money putting into this asset would lead you to even more growth. But all of those are part of the market and other variables which we are not going in deep for now.
In short, if you are like me who are playing it safe, you are going to be making the crypto as a part of your wealth or financial independence equation. But you can't rely on that source of income alone for being rich. You are only going to make money out of as much as you can burn your time and money. It's not hands off way for you to make money off it.
I could be Wrong, You Could Find a Way
Again, I am just a content writer and I have my share of the mistakes in life. And my journey is full of cents instead of dollars. So I could be wrong on investment. I have learned one thing though, you can't become millionaire by putting in cents. You have to climb the dollar with bigger numbers. And there is no doubt this logic is much stronger in this context. That's one reason I don't buy dogecoin and expect to become millionaire to the moon. Because that is like telling the lie to myself.
So if I am wrong, I'd love to know your opinion what could be a good direction on leading the financial independence path. I would love to know your approach on getting crypto to turn into an asset that could be in offline world make you quit the job or buy the land and move off the grind city life.
I know it's not for everyone. Some people are happy chasing the grind, going to mall to feel good and then retire in the apartment looking outside window for traffic and new generation. I have no such plans for myself so my 30s lifestyle is desperately telling me to make the jump and get out of the grind. And just maybe crypto can be one ticket to go closer to the same.
How you are planning on reaching financial independence and trying to escape the grind?
