Illinois is going through a lot of motions against the crypto. First it had to dealt with variety of the divorces where wives were after the bitcoins of their husband. Some of the family members fought over the parents crypto assets. 

And now the taxable nature of the crypto is coming into the picture. Like the courts and the govt are about to have the law where the fight is likely to be there for the crypto tax. 

The state has this new crypto tax law coming up in the draft. Which would treat the crypto like any other asset and it would bring some high level of taxation on the same. This way they would want to be owner of the asset they would be tracked too. Like any other asset. So this is what that has been challenged by the blockchain association and crypto council. 

Something like this was meant to happen and this would be all over the world. The moment govt and enterprise gets real then the hold of sovereign has lost completely.
