What if you could get the chance to invest into companies before they hit the IPO? What if those companies make use of the crypto tokens to initiate the pre IPO like fund investment? And if they are going to have some backing from the exchanges?

This is exactly what is happening with the pre IPO based platform called the Bitget's IPO Prime. They are launching with april months VIP funding for a token preSPAX token.

Such type of the pre IPO or even IPO based in the crypto can be risky. So assuming they are opening to test this on VIP consumers first it is going to be pretty difficult to look over. And also even more difficult for the design of the investment if happens to meet those rugpull investment companies. Which we have seen in the past. 

Though this is coming from the exchange like Bitget that doesn't give any form of assurance that such type of the schemes have chance of going difficult as well. So do your own research before getting into such schemes.
