New blockchain games these days are not launching directly from the game demo. Some of the games launch from the NFTs to the playable game. Some games launch from the metaverse to the gameplay. Some start from the token staking to the playable game. Here I found one such game which started as minting and staking and soon will be following the playable blockchain game path.
This game is named as "Ancient Society" based on it's strategy, simulation and the resources staking approach related to the ancient jargons from the past. Concept wise it would attract you if you are into strategy games on PC or console. But there is a blockchain component too.
Ancient Society has the token named $ANCIEN. This token is meant for deployment on the Polygon blockchain. You would be surprised to know that the way this game has been designed, almost every small component would be out there for in game purchase if they could do that. So it would like pay to earn unless they add some rewards along the way.
Game would start from the staking, mining and the tool purchase components. I am pretty sure even the lands would be up for sale. So you are kind of like buying every single thing in the process which would result in the economy of the game moving. The game is city builder strategy game which would heavily built through the process.
How do you view this game? I personally get the vibe of "Rise of Nation" and those tycoon type of the games. But the thing is here the process and the overall goal of the game is different. So you have something new to explore and play along the way. I'd say for those who like some of such city building and the development type of the games, you would enjoy this one.
I'd say once this launches completely for public serving, we are going to see some massive land and other NFTs being grabbed and if the game takes off there is an opportunity worth exploring. But the game has to develop enough value for the digital asset to have some value over a period of time.
