During the run to the moon in late 2017, I often read about the comparison between where crypto was then to where the Internet was in the early/mid 90s. There was momentum building, lots of potential, but waiting for Netscape or the crypto equivalent that would bring the tech to the masses.
This comparison went sideways when the crypto boom burst before any mass consumer adoption. Whereas, Netscape drove widespread adoption, which fueled .com bubble, which then burst around 2000. However, I still find it interesting to try to draw some parallels.
I have not seen this analogy used much lately, so wanted to throw it out to this community. What year is it? 1994? 1998? 2001? Or too dissimilar to compare so we are just in crypto 2019?
