The NFT marketplace has become oversaturated, and produced some monumental scams in its lifespan. The most recent to join the accused is the NFT project backed by Logan Paul, CryptoZoo.
Logan Paul, an American YouTube personality, has gained recent attention due to his involvement in a non-fungible token (NFT) game project that has been uncovered as a fraudulent scheme. The project, known as CryptoZoo, has reportedly been scamming users out of millions of dollars worth of cryptocurrency and NFTs since its launch. This news has damaged Paul's reputation, as he is now viewed as a notorious figure in the online community.
Known as Coffezilla, Stephen Findeissen has been investigating the project and has provided evidence of its fraudulent activities. His investigation into CryptoZoo spans over a course year in his 3 part investigation found on Youtube.

WHAT IS CRYPTOZOO
CryptoZoo was a virtual game that allowed players to collect, trade, and breed digital animals known as non-fungible tokens (NFTs). These NFTs could be purchased using an in-game currency called "Zoo" coins, which could also be earned through breeding rare hybrid animals.The game offered players a way to earn passive income through competition and was designed to be both entertaining and lucrative.
The game featured an in-game currency called "Zoo" coins. Players could use these coins to buy egg NFTs that would hatch into animals, which could then be bred to create hybrid offspring. The rarer the hybrid, the more Zoo coins a player could earn. This feature of the game provided players with a way to earn passive income through breeding and trading.
However, the project has been embroiled in controversy and allegations of fraud, with Paul and his team accused of stealing millions of dollars from investors.
SO WHAT HAPPENED?
Findeissen, the CryptoZoo scam was perpetrated by a group led by YouTube star Logan Paul and consisting of his manager Jeff and project developer Eddie Ibanez.
The team had initially intended to do a presale for their non-fungible token (NFT) project, but ultimately decided to launch the game early due to concerns about potential regulatory issues with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The group used Paul's influence to promote the game and attract a large number of users. However, after just one year, Paul and his team suddenly closed down the project and disappeared with an estimated $6 million in funds.
Coffeezilla's investigation has identified Eddie Alverez as one of the individuals responsible for the missing funds, claiming a massive $1.3 million in assets through various wallets, with the rest of the team supposedly still holding their "Zoo" tokens. This has caused widespread outrage and criticism within the cryptocurrency community, with many investors holding onto their tokens in the hope that Paul and his team will follow through on their original plans for the project.
