This guide will walk you through purchasing Aster directly, using a DeFi wallet (such as Trust Wallet or MetaMask) via the Aster DEX. You’ll also learn how to deposit funds into either your Spot or Perpetual account, depending on the type of trades you want to execute.
Fund Wallet / Swap For USDT
One of the easiest ways to get started is to fund your wallet or swap for USDT on BSC.
- Download Trust Wallet or MetaMask if you don’t already have it.
- Using your Trust Wallet, MetaMask or Similar. Fund your wallet or swap BNB for USDT (on BSC)
Launch The Aster App
- Using our invite code, launch the Aster App to connect your wallet asterdex.com/en/referral/bFb108
- Send the request to sign the message from Aster DEX to Get your Aster key.
Deposit Funds
- Click the “Deposit” button at the top right of the screen.
- Choose between Perpetual or Spot from the drop down menu.
- Click the drop down menu beside the “Amount” field to select your funds.
- Locate the USDT in your wallet to be deposited into your Spot or Perpetual account.
- Enter the amount you wish to deposit and click “Approve USDT”.
- Once approved, click “Deposit” and the funds should be in your Spot or Perpetual account.
Buy / Trade Aster
- Click the trading pair located under the “Perp Acct.” or “Spot Acct.” and search for ASTER/USDT. Double check contract address (CA) ASTER on DEX Screener
- Once ASTER/USDT has been selected and your deposit is complete, click “Buy” at the bottom of the screen.
- Click “Enable Trading” to set up your trade. Once completed, click “Buy” to complete your trade.
- Scroll to the bottom to see your completed trade.
Store Your Crypto
Depending on whether you’re trading on Spot or Perpetuals, you’ll need a secure place to store your crypto. For active trading and easy access to the Aster DEX. Keeping your assets in a connected wallet like Trust Wallet or MetaMask is ideal. Especially since you can earn rewards by doing so.
If your goal is long term holding, a cold wallet offers greater security. However, it may not provide the same reward opportunities as a DeFi-connected wallet.
