Bitrefill, a gift card provider, recently announced that it is launching a BTC-back program that will allow users to earn Satoshi while shopping on the platform. BTC-back offers users the opportunity to receive a minimum of 1% return for each purchase in bitcoins and a maximum of 6% for 217 products in the US and the UK in several categories, including retail, home, e-commerce, restaurants, healthcare and beauty.

Rewards will be accumulated in the form of Satoshi, the smallest unit of measurement for Bitcoin, where one Satoshi is equal to 0.00000001. With Bitcoin's offer of 21 million, 2100 trillion Satoshi are currently available.

The company decided to nominate compensation in Satoshi, and not in paper currency, such as the US dollar or Euro, so that users can “accumulate money” and potentially avoid the loss of purchasing power due to inflation of traditional currencies.
