Cryptocurrency trading is a complex activity that, like any business scheme, has its pros and cons, which could be very intimidating for those who are new to it. Knowing and understanding the different trading styles will help you understand which one best suits your interests, make the most informed decisions, and how to use them to your advantage.

There are various trading styles that can be used in different ways to achieve the ultimate goal – making a profit. In order not to overwhelm you with data, I classified them into five groups, which in my opinion, are the main ones: technical, fundamental, economic, trend followers and sentiment followers.

• Technical trading styles: This style involves the use of technical indicators to predict the price direction of a certain crypto asset.
• Fundamental trading styles: Analyze the use of fundamental factors such as earnings, dividends and the fundamentals of a certain project to predict the direction of the price of a certain crypto asset.
• Economic trading styles: They analyze the macroeconomic data that affects or may affect the performance of a certain crypto asset and includes factors such as inflation, unemployment, etc.
• Trend-following trading styles: Buying or selling a crypto asset based on whether the price is moving in a specific direction.
• Sentiment-following trading styles: These determine whether investors are bullish or bearish by using social media, news articles, and other sources to study positive or negative sentiment for a particular crypto asset.

As I mentioned at the beginning, there are pros and cons for each type of negotiation style, so it is important to choose the style that best suits the objectives you want to achieve, combining them can also help you make better decisions when negotiating. For example, trend following trading can be used to identify short-term trends and buy or sell based on those trends, while technical trading can be used to identify patterns in security prices and profit by trade based on those patterns.

Technical analysis:

• Pros: It is the most actionable of the trading styles and the quickest to react to changes in the market.
• Cons: Considered the least objective of the negotiation styles because it is the most susceptible to the influence of emotions.

Fundamental analysis:

• Pros: Considered by many to be the most objective of the trading styles. It is the least emotional and therefore the most reliable.
• Cons: It is the least actionable of the negotiation styles. You can be slow to react to changes in the market.

Economic analysis:

• Pros: It is one of the most actionable trading styles.
• Cons: It is the most subjective and susceptible to emotions.

Followers (analysis) of trends:

• Pros: Reacts quickly to changes in the market.
• Cons: Can be subjective

Followers (analysis) of sentiments:

• Pros: Considered to be the most accurate of the trading styles.
• Cons: Can be slow to react to changes in the market.

Arguing that one trading style is better than another is fallacious, every trader in the cryptocurrency market has their own goals, so it is important to know what they are and use the right trading style for you. If you're looking for small, quick gains, technical analysis might be the best style for you, however, if you're looking for long-term stability, fundamental analysis may be the best option.

Understanding what type of trader you are going to be (or are) will help you determine the market conditions and understand its rules before taking any action, you will be able to create your trading plan or strategy and check it before using it, you will have control of your investment capital and you will adapt to change with the markets. Always remember: Eliminate emotions from the equation, discipline and consistency will lead you to success.
