Overpower Chaos : Productivity Hacks

Ugh! It can’t be just me frustrated with work deadlines, bombarded inboxes and the never ending list of things to do, right?!

However, I’m not just here to cry about the life draining stress. I’m here with productivity hacks and a few pointers on how to manage your time.

Stop refreshing that mail like a crazy person, just watching your screen waiting for a news mail to drop. Nuh-uh! Fix specific times during the day that would be convenient for you to respond to them.  This way you can go through all at once and clear your mind for other things.

Also, reduce those subscriptions to stores, magazines and what-not. Anything that isn't contributing to your income or well/being unsubscribe.

Learning to prioritize tasks based on the importance and urgency of that task is also key. Also, if you’re in the position where you can delegate your tasks, don't be afraid to do so. This is something I learned on the job when tasks became overwhelming.

If you’re working on a big project, set a timer that would go off after a couple of minutes, this is to ensure for those minutes you’re focused in the task at hand and then you can take a break when the timer goes off. Repeat this process and you’ll be surprised at how much you accomplish.

Take out time for yourself on your calendar, this is to help you stay on track and  avoid work overload. I put this into practice and i brought back my sanity.

During working hours, just silence your phone, those notifications from social media or unnecessary phone calls can be huge distractions.

You’re not a bot. Remember to just breathe.
