You've likely heard by now that Santander issued and redeemed a $20 million bond on the Ethereum blockchain. The redemption took place just today. But are you aware of these other great crypto reads and crazy news stories of the week?
- On Binance, traders panicked when the Matic price slid a little bit. The resultant trader activity caused the Ethereum token to lose 75 percent of its value in less than an hour.

- The number of Bitcoin addresses with any balance in them has hit an all-time high. As of October 2019, there were more than 28 million addresses with a Bitcoin balance, according to Coin Metrics data.

- Crypto lending has exploded in the last couple of years. Since December 2017, more than 300,000 crypto loans have been issued for more than $862 million. There is now more than $80 million outstanding in crypto loans.

- SpaceChain developed a crypto wallet that it sent to the International Space Station on SpaceX's rocket ship called Falcon 9.
- If you've bought, sold, sent, received, exchanged, or acquired any financial interest in any cryptocurrency in 2019, you'll have to declare it on your Schedule 1, Form 1040 next year. Of course, this applies to U.S. tax payers only.
