Hi everyone,

Illuvium is pretty hard, and a recent patch has changed the meta once again.

Fear not, I'm here to break it down for you. 

Something you need to bear in mind when jumping into Ranked play is that whilst base affinities and classes win the early rounds, they won't win the late ones, and these are what matter as you score more points later on and increase your chances of winning.

You need to unlock these bad boys asap by bonding your ranger and investing in higher tier units, and use your items to power them up:

Previous winning combinations such as Toxic Colossi have been nerfed, and to be honest, Psions & Empaths were never that powerful in my opinion.

The new dominating team matchup seems to be Frost Behemoths! Coupled with 5 earth Bulwarks and Fighters, you should be able to carry all the way through your PVP matches.

Frost blinds enemies at the start of fights and eventually stuns them, whilst Behemoth applies max health damage every fifth attack, so consider buffing health and attack speed using your items!
