On Thursday, American authorities brought criminal charges against the owners of one of the world’s biggest cryptocurrency trading exchanges.

BitMEX is accused of money laundering and engaging in other illegal transactions.

For the time being, BitMEX is the largest and most established exchange to ever face criminal charges.

Since the news made headlines users have withdrawn more than 40.000 BTC which is aproximatelly 420.000.000$ at the current Bitcoin price.
