Zcash or ZEC is a coin in the market that seem to be doing great. It's great because the current market sentiments are not so good but this coin has shown the price growth which is too good. If we look at the price movement then it's over 80% in last 90 days and this is what we can not ignore.
This is a coin which is a good alternative for Bitcoin as per many experts however I dont see this as competition for bitcoin but I still acknowledge the value appreciation that we can have seen in the coin price.
There are very few coins in market that are doing great and zcash is surely one of them. It's a top 10 coin and it's because the project has got amazing and growing community so it can be a good project to consider.
In this time it's also not easy to say whether the current price is good to buy or not and may be in long term we can expect more appreciation on the investment. It's clear that the current market cycle is not bullish so a reversal is expected but not sure when.
