Tornado Cash co-founder Alexey Pertsev jailed in the Netherlands
A Dutch court convicted Tornado Cash Co-founder Alexey Pertsev (31) guilty of $1.2 billion in money laundering.
Court jailed Pertsev to five years in prison, and seized his assets (including cryptocurrency). Tornado Cash is notorious for allowing hackers like the Lazarus group to mix and get away with hacked assets.
Roman Storm (34), the other Tornado Cash co-founder, is on trial in the United States, while the whereabouts of the third, Roman Semenov, are unknown.
