The ongoing investigation about Sam Bankman-Fried, FTX and Alameda research brings more and more details about the expensive lifestyle of top FTX and Alameda employees to light.

In this article I'm going to show some of these extraordinary expenses and why SBF is maybe not the low-key guy, some or us thought before.

Let's start with Food expenses. SBF and friends usually had breakfast together. But it seems like this had been usually a delicate one. The cost of that sometimes was around 2500 dollars.
The rest of the day usually didn't came much cheaper and it's rumoured that SBF and entourage nearly spended 500000 dollars for food in just 1 year.

Travelling and housing:

Executives of big company's often use the business class of regular flights to get to their destination. But FTX as a big player doesn't drive that deep... Private jets is the Standard. Deal with it.

The company bought houses close together for reported more than 250 million dollar in one of the most expensive neighborhoods of the Bahamas.

After moving the GTX headquarters to the Bahamas, SBF realized that there sadly was no Amazon. So they decided to do the only rational thing. Order a private jet to get these deliveries as fast as possibly.

Suspicious loans:
SBF also wasn't shy to take a loan from his company of reported 1! Billion dollars...

Avi Dabir the Vice President of Business Development at FTX US got a reported 500 million loan. I'm sure both of them will claim that they lost the money or don't have access to it anymore.

For the year 2022 the company expenses were about 44 million Euro up until September, when FTX went into liquidity issues and the story started to kick off.
