Garrett Blakeslee: Sure! My name is Garrett Blakeslee, I am the CEO of Block Duelers. I got into crypto back in 2017, unfortunately it wasnt a good start… bitconnect

Garrett Blakeslee: Ya, so i took that loss and gained knowledge, as a way to expand and grow my sensible side, in regards to decentralized technology
We have to learn from our losses, in order to push forward! So thats what I did. I pushed forward and kept with it, and now here we are! Block Duelers is kind of the culmination of my crypto experience.
Danny | Crypto Revolution: Fully agree on that! How you come up with the idea for Block Duelers?
Garrett Blakeslee: Well, I saw a huge need for NFT utility. I see all of these awesome projects with awesome artists creating awesome digital prints. But with nothing more than stagnant use to them.
Like a piece of art, sitting on a wall, there is almost no use to it other than easthetic purposes. Its the same with NFT’s, so I thought, what can I do to make these NFTS valuable, other than their rarity or artist fame.
Well, lets attach custom stats to them like trading card games, and duel them, decentralized fashion!

Danny | Crypto Revolution: Few words for Tokenomics?
Garrett Blakeslee: Ya, so here is our breakdown so far. Utility of course is a different conversation :)
Total Supply: 50,000 BDT
- 10,000 for the team (Locked for 1 year)
- 30,000 Private sale and pre-sale
- 5,000 for airdrops, competitions, partnerships and marketing
- 5,000 for liquidity
- unsold token use will be determined by community vote
We are community oriented and want to make sure the community has a say in leftover tokens from sales.

What kind of Airdrop you are planning to do? And at the moment you are doing your Public Sale right? Yeah. I love Community Driven Projects
Garrett Blakeslee: For now, we do not have an airdrop planned. Our pre-sale started on December 28th, and ends January 3rd.

Garrett Blakeslee: Our private sale sold out 70 ETH in 5 days, over the xmas holiday. So we are very pleased so far!

Garrett Blakeslee: It has a referal program as well, if anyone is interested in helping to raise presale funds! We will have a contract audit later down the line. Here is our current roadmap!

Can you explain to us better what the UDA# (Unique Digital Asset #) is, what increases it or what decreases it, will this finally increase the price of the NFT cards in question?
Garrett Blakeslee: The Unique Digital Asset # is the key identifier for all NFT’s. It is coded into the ERC-721 contract and never changes! We will use this “UDA#” on our platform to recognize and identify verifiable NFTS that are integrated into our system.
The more people that play the game and battle their NFTS, the more they will be able to level up their stats. All of the stats, evolution history and metadata will be stored via smart contract.
Everytime an NFT is fought in a duel, the smart contract will log changes in values that are attached to the NFTs. This means that no matter who owns the NFT, its stats will follow throughout our platform. This is done by utilizing the NFT’s UDA#.
Now people will not only collect NFT’s for their artistic properties, but for the battle properties and character sats, that are attached to them. The better stats the NFT has, the more it should inherently increase the value of these NFT’s.

Garrett Blakeslee: Sure, let me grab a bit more detail on the game itself!
After players create an account on our battle platform and connect their Ethereum wallet with their compatible NFTs, they will be able to duel other players and their NFTs. The first release of Block Duelers will introduce 3 tiers of fighters available to redeem and battle.
Each tier will have different skill power levels and will initially include 3 skills: Attack, Heal and Defend. Future development of the game will bring new skills, tier levels, power upgrades, new NFT fighters and more.
Each compatible NFT that is uploaded to the player’s account (via our custom dueling platform) will have a predetermined set of stats assigned to it. These stats will be decided by factors including, but not limited to, NFT rarity and tier level. These stats will follow the NFT throughout its Saga on our platform by using its UDA# (Unique Digital Asset #), no matter who owns the NFT!

Danny | Crypto Revolution: What will be benefits for Token Holders?
Garrett Blakeslee: So we are still going over some awesome use cases for the BDT. The main use right now is staking, which will earn you our NFT characters to duel with. Its a simple idea, that will eventually expand over time. We are currently working on phase 1 of the MVP which will contain some of these new token utility ideas.

Garrett Blakeslee: The Hall of Duelers is where you will stake your Block Duelers ERC20 Tokens and LP tokens. In return, you will receive dueler credits that will be used to redeem NFT duelers and eventually other items.
These items will include things like powerful stat upgrades, hard hitting attacks, defensive tactics and other fighter perks. Dueler Credits could potentially be used to gain entry into tournaments, elemental power training, and as credits for the gambling/wager feature.

What motivated the BlockDuelers team to choose the artist Jorden Oliwa for the creation of your NFT? What other artists do you hope to incorporate into your platform in the near future?
Garrett Blakeslee: Oh i like this!
I first came across Jorden Oliwa through Chonker.Finance. They were using him to create a few NFT’s for their up and coming project. They teased us with an Artist who had done work on Courage the Cowardly Dog, Ren and Stimpy and was one of the main digital artists for the Hip-Hop group “Gorillaz”.
This immediately sparkled my attention, as i grew up in the 90’s and was sucked in by shows that aired on Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon.
When i saw the work he did for Chonker, I fell in love. That love exploded when I won a limited edition CHONKY VITALIK CARD, in the same style as the work he did for the Gorillaz. This card is a 1 out of 10 and I will never part with it. It was my first taste of the NFT universe, and i couldnt get enough!
A few months later, I came up with the idea to create Block Duelers and knew exactly who I wanted to commission my NFT art… The one and only Jorden Oliwa! For now we will be focussing on showcasing his work, but will move onto other artists of different styles and expertise! Each new series of NFT’s will have a different theme and we want to make sure our artists styles match with it!

Question: What initially brought you to decentralized currency? And what has made you stay? The decentralized landscape is forever changing!
Best Answer: Decentralized markets can allow for transparency between parties, especially if they use technology that ensures all parties share mutually agreed-upon data and information.
Question: What excites you most about a decentralized NFT Dueling game? Is is the Battles? The game mechanics, or something else?
Best Answer: The battles, I love a good challenge. But what’s a battle without good game mechanics so I guess all is equally important.

NFTs is very awesome booming right now … and the future will be huge … so i very excited to game battle….what will make your project unique?
Garrett Blakeslee: We do not have any direct competition in the way of the battle/wagering system that will be utilized to fight and upgrade your verified NFT fighters. There are however a handful of NFT projects that utilize the same staking features that we have built our platform on. Our project is unique do to how it will integrate NFTs into the ecosystem for not just our NFTs, but NFTS from other well known projects. We want to create utility for ALL NFT digital art technology. Its not about US vs THEM, its about US!
US= everyone in the NFT space.
We are all one community, right?

What are the differences between your NFTs and those of other platforms? Are these NFTs interchangeable? Are they real-world assets or tokenized versions of them?
Garrett Blakeslee: We plan on doing an evolving NFT concept, right now we are trying to come up with a way that we can stack NFTs on top of one another. This will create a layered character, with different armor skins.
Kind of like your general video game, where you click and drag your armor upgrades or perks onto your character to build a differnt set of stats and look.

What is the core feature that creates the value of Your project? Can you tell some lights from them?
Garrett Blakeslee: The dueling system
It is the key component to the NFT game, and will be the basis of everything we build on top. Also the wager system that will encourage duelers to play!
This will give part of the DEFI edge that people look for… VALUE
We all need income, why do something mundane to achieve it, when you can play video games! The evolving stats of each NFT will also build value for those NFTs as they are bought and sold on platforms like rarible or opensea.
