A blockchain technology company reveals ongoing satellite project.

I just found this article online and it really shocked me, I never thought of something like this, but that may be one of the reasons I'm not a CEO of a succesfull company...

Anyway, this is great news! Anthing that favors and makes easier access to cryptocurrencies is pretty good nowadays. This company Blockstream is already on phase two of this project.

It aims for free private BTC transactions without needing an internet connection and as of today, theyr satellite coverage is pretty huge, as you can see on the next image and all satellites have Lightning Network implementation.

As I have read, running a node this way only requires a satellite antenna and an USB reciever to keep the syncronization going, nothing more and of course no need to connect to the internet. They also revealed an API for users to be able to make transactions using this protocol, with some fees, of course.

I hope this works i the long run and thus making the access to BTC easier and more affordable, a good addition for the years coming.
